Registration Now Open for Ohio Safety Congress and Expo 2017

January 10, 2017 - WorkCompWire

Columbus, OH – Registration is now open for the 2017 Ohio Safety Congress and Expo (OSC17), the largest regional safety and health conference in the U.S. The event, sponsored by the Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation (BWC), will run March 8-10 at the Greater Columbus Convention Center.

OSC17 will feature more than 200 educational sessions presented by experts from across the country covering topics related to occupational safety and health, wellness, rehabilitation, controlling claims costs and medical treatment of injured workers. An expo marketplace will also host more than 200 exhibitors.

“Safety Congress will offer hundreds of outstanding educational opportunities and valuable insight into preventing workplace injuries and illnesses,” said BWC Administrator/CEO Sarah Morrison. “I encourage employers to attend. Investing in workplace safety is the right thing to do and it reduces costs by preventing injuries.”

Attendance is free for Ohio employers and their employees. Students are also welcome to attend educational sessions.

BWC’s Ohio Workers’ Compensation Medical and Health Symposium will also be held in conjunction with OSC17 March 9 and 10 at the nearby Hyatt Regency Columbus. The symposium offers educational opportunities for Ohio’s health care providers presented by nationally-recognized specialists in research, pain management, physical medicine and rehabilitation, alternative medicine, neurology and orthopedic surgery.

Registration and course listings for both events are available here.
