Philadelphia, PA – ESISĀ®, Inc., Chubb’s risk management solutions division, recently announced that it has added Telemedicine to its suite of medical services offered through ESIS NurseLine. Available to clients 24/7, this telephonic service provides registered nurses for the triage of work-related injuries.
With the evolution of technology and businesses embracing telemedicine as an alternative to emergency room and urgent care visits, ESIS’ integration of virtual consultation helps to address and support the growing need and desire for telemedicine services by both employers and employees. These enhanced capabilities will provide ESIS NurseLine clients with access to 24/7 medical consultation for primary injury assessment via video conference through smartphone or tablet devices.
“Our new telemedicine solution further strengthens our NurseLine capability by offering virtual doctor visits when care is needed,” said Veronica Cressman, Vice President, ESIS Medical Programs. “ESIS’ NurseLine program has already significantly reduced the number of unnecessary emergency room and urgent care visits. We are confident this telemedicine solution will provide clients with added convenience and greater cost savings to better manage their workers compensation programs.”
