WorkCompRecap: Research & Register!

December 8, 2016 - WorkCompWire

Today’s issue of WorkCompRecap features NCCI’s announcement that registration is now available for its Annual Issues Symposium, which is slated for May 17-19, 2017 in Orlando, Florida.

NCCI also announced its release of a new research brief with five years of updated data on large and and excess loss development patterns. The brief also explores development patterns by size of loss across a broad array of experience and development periods using different visualizations. Key findings included that claims with case-incurred losses less than $3 million generally developed upward, those with losses in excess of $5 million generally developed downward. In between claims generally developed downward during earlier reporting periods and upward during later reporting periods.
