Today’s issue of WorkCompRecap features the release of the 2016 edition of Rising’s Workers’ Compensation Benchmarking Study, which for the first time identifies which claims best practices are generating better outcomes.
The 2016 study built on prior years’ results and aimed to provide a clear, convincing, and data-backed profile of the higher performing claims organizations. Key differentiators included linking key performance indicators (KPIs) to desired claim outcomes; use of claims decision support tools – like workflow automation, advanced analytics, and predictive modeling; and the use of employee-centric, advocacy-based service models to improve claim outcomes as well as talent retention; and use of pharmacy metrics as a measure of provider quality/outcomes, among others.
