Two Texas Mutual Employees Honored as Guidewire Project Heroes

November 11, 2016 - WorkCompWire

Austin, TX – Two Texas Mutual Insurance Company employees were named Guidewire Project Heroes at Guidewire’s convention in San Francisco on October 26. Teresa Martinez, Senior Process Analyst, and Mossy Bateson, Senior Project Leader, were two of six people honored out of 1,800 attendees for developing projects that use Guidewire software—an information technology (IT) product for insurance companies.

“Texas Mutual employees like Teresa and Mossy, who are proven leaders, help make our company successful,” Rich Gergasko, president and chief executive officer of Texas Mutual, said. “We congratulate them for this honor and thank them for their dedication to Texas Mutual and the insurance industry.”

Martinez and Bateson were nominated by Andrea Shepard, senior manager of the Policy & Billing System (PABS) project at Texas Mutual.

Martinez has overseen the completion of nearly 500 story cards that are vital to configuration and hundreds of workflows, ensuring that users will be able to do their jobs. Shepard noted the tireless leadership of Martinez in the user community for the policy center.

Bateson was nominated for his work on the PABS project. He took the lead in ensuring all of Texas Mutual’s system integrations—79 in total—were working properly, in addition to his other job duties.
