Paradigm Outcomes Acquires the ALARIS Group & Encore Unlimited

October 12, 2016 - WorkCompWire

Walnut Creek, CA – Paradigm Outcomes recently announced that it has acquired the ALARIS Group, Inc. and Encore Unlimited, LLC.

Encore’s case management and advocacy services, ALARIS’ case management services, and Paradigm’s expertise in managing catastrophic injuries and complex pain form a comprehensive resource for case management solutions.

While each company will retain separate product lines, customers will gain seamless access to an expanded set of business solutions, including outcome-focused case management services, life care planning, medical cost projections, vocational rehabilitation, and ergonomics.

“With these acquisitions, we instantly expand Paradigm’s customer base and add flexibility to respond strategically to regions with growing case volume,” said Jim Hudak, Paradigm’s Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. “Though these deals benefit each company, the real winners are our clients, who will receive a broader range of uninterrupted services. I am excited about this new chapter as we continue improving the lives of people with medical needs across the country.”

Liz Thompson, BS, CDMS, CRC, CEO of Encore, will report to Tom Mastri, Paradigm’s Chief Financial Officer and Chief Administrative Officer. “Since 2001, Encore has developed successful regional and national medical and vocational case management and related services,” said Thompson. “Moving under the Paradigm banner gives us additional resources to leverage our success. I look forward to growing with Paradigm to create an uninterrupted service model.”

Marijo Storment, RN, BSN, CCM, CEO of ALARIS will also report to Tom Mastri. “ALARIS has built a strong network of case management professionals devoted to helping injured workers achieve lasting success,” said Storment. “Our shared focus on outcomes and experience working together on a number of cases give me great confidence that together we can accelerate the growth of both businesses.”

Paradigm’s core business will remain unchanged. ALARIS and Encore will be wholly owned subsidiaries of Paradigm and operate as separate brands. Clients will continue to receive exceptional service from the teams they presently work with at Paradigm, ALARIS, and Encore.
