LCTA Workers’ Comp Expands to Multiple States

October 13, 2016 - WorkCompWire

Baton Rouge, LA – LCTA Workers’ Comp (LCTA), one of Louisiana’s oldest workers’ comp providers, recently announced that it will be expanding its geographic reach to include Mississippi and Arkansas.

On Oct. 1, LCTA began writing lines of workers’ comp coverage to small-to-mid-sized businesses in Mississippi. The company has also secured a license to write insurance in Arkansas.

Earlier this year, the 26 year-old company converted from a self-insurers’ fund to a casualty insurance company, providing LCTA with the capabilities to achieve geographic expansion.

“When we converted, we promised LCTA would continue to evolve in many different ways,” Melissa Campesi, CEO of LCTA, said. “Growing to cover more states is all part of our long-term strategy. We’re glad to be in the position to offer our great coverage to businesses in Mississippi and Arkansas, and are looking forward to including other markets in the future.”

LCTA provides workers’ comp for a variety of industries, such as health care, super markets, restaurants, artisan contractors and municipalities.
