Middleton, WI – On Thursday, September 29, 2016, members of the International Association of Industrial Accident Boards and Commissions (IAIABC) elected the 2016 – 2017 Board of Directors, with Dave Threedy, Chair, Washington Board of Industrial Insurance Appeals becoming the IAIABC President.
The IAIABC Board of Directors is the governing body of the IAIABC, the largest association of workers’ compensation jurisdictional agencies in North America. The 2016 – 2017 Board of Directors is comprised of leaders from twelve jurisdictional agencies and two ex-officio members.
Frank R. McKay, Chairman of the Georgia State Workers’ Compensation Board was newly elected to the Board of Directors. Frank R. McKay came to the Georgia State Workers’ Compensation Board in 2013 from private practice where he was a partner in the Stewart, Melvin and Frost law firm in Gainesville, Georgia. His practice was concentrated in workers’ compensation, and he tried and presented many cases before the Administrative Law Judges and the Appellate Division of the State Board, and appeals to the Superior Courts and the Georgia Court of Appeals.
Says Dave Threedy, “The IAIABC is working on a number of exciting projects that will help meet the Association’s mission of advancing the efficiency and effectiveness of workers’ compensation systems around the world. The new Board of Directors looks forward to being engaged in these projects and making a positive impact on the work comp industry.”
