King of Prussia, PA – Chris Main, PhD, a member of MedRisk’s International Scientific Advisory Board, has been named an honorary member of the North American Spine Society.
A clinical and health psychologist, Main is an expert on the biopsychosocial approach to pain management and on managing pain in the workplace. His PhD work addressed psychological factors in back pain, and Dr. Main helped develop the first pain management program specifically for low back pain in the U.K. He has coauthored more than 200 books, monographs, reports, and peer-reviewed articles.
Main has been part of MedRisk’s ISAB since 2009. ISAB is responsible for identifying, performing and promulgating research on best-practice treatment in the areas of physical medicine, diagnostic imaging and neuro-diagnostics, and for maintaining the MedRisk proprietary clinical guidelines.
