Addison, TX – Concentra recently announced its latest expansion in occupational medicine with the acquisition of one of the two Industrial Health Care Center (IHCC) locations in greater Philadelphia. Through this acquisition, Concentra assumes operations of the IHCC location at 2804 Southampton Rd, while the location in Levittown continues to operate under its current ownership.
This acquisition further strengthens Concentra’s foothold in the Philadelphia market and increases the total number of Concentra locations in the state of Pennsylvania to 20. Dr. Brian K. Rizen, Maureen Frederick, and a majority of the staff at the Southampton location have transitioned to Concentra. Financial details of the acquisition were not released.
IHCC is a locally owned business that has provided occupational health care to hundreds of businesses and their employees. Their providers have more than 30 years of experience in the field, helping companies maintain a healthy work force, reduce absenteeism, increase productivity and in turn reduce medical costs.
“We are excited for Dr. Rizen, Maureen and the staff to join the Concentra family. Partnering with great people and respected occupational medicine providers is exactly how we are looking to grow. This is an excellent opportunity for both parties – the IHCC Southampton team will continue to serve their community and customers and Concentra will support the team with our company resources and national presence,” said Matthew DiCanio, Concentra’s Senior Vice President of Strategy and Corporate Development.
This acquisition supports Concentra’s extensive client base in Philadelphia and reinforces the company’s commitment to improving the health of America’s workforce, one patient at a time. This acquisition helps to create a wider network of quality, convenient medical care from Concentra, which includes more than 300 national occupational medical centers.
