New York, NY – Spreemo, a healthcare analytics company providing actionable, evidence-based quality metrics to facilitate high-quality patient care, has named Marty Sholder as its new President and Chief Operating Officer and Gretchen Westerhoff as its Vice President of Operations. Both leaders will be based in the company’s Dallas office.
In his new role, Sholder will oversee Spreemo’s overall expansion strategy, as the company continues to experience increasing demand from both payers and patients for data-driven insights into provider quality of care. In her new role, Westerhoff will work closely with Sholder, playing an essential role in realizing efficiencies and scaling Spreemo’s operational infrastructure in order to accommodate continued business growth.
“Spreemo’s growth and success to-date has been driven both by our commitment to high-quality patient care, as well as by our unrelenting focus on high-quality customer service,” said CEO Ron Vianu. “We’re extremely excited to welcome Marty and Gretchen to our team and look forward to their leadership as we continue to enhance our offering to bring better care to patients and better service to all our payers and provider partners.”
Marty Sholder brings to Spreemo a wealth of experience and knowledge in building successful healthcare ventures that positively impact patient care, having previously held a variety of executive roles at leading companies in the industry. While Senior Vice President at Coventry Health Care, he was responsible for the management of the First Health Network, Coventry’s six-million member preferred provider organization (“PPO”). Furthermore, as Executive Vice President of HealthSmart, Sholder oversaw a 500,000 provider PPO, serving a wide array of workers’ compensation and group health clients. Sholder has also held leadership roles at CompNet America, Strategic Partners, Integrated Medical Delivery, and PPO Oklahoma, as founder and CEO.
“Spreemo is truly transforming the trajectory of healthcare on a national scale, driving analytics initiatives and research agendas that are improving the lives of patients on a daily basis,” added Sholder. “I’m thrilled to join this team at a time when the company is rapidly expanding its offering and scaling its service infrastructure to support clients, providers and patients alike.”
Like Sholder, Gretchen Westerhoff also possesses years of healthcare operating experience, particularly within revenue cycle management, and has held a variety of senior leadership roles in the industry. As Senior Vice President of Operations at MedAssets, a leading healthcare performance improvement company, she managed a number of business development and day-to-day operating initiatives. During her tenure, Westerhoff implemented a variety of comprehensive workflow automation and revenue-cycle improvement plans, resulting in improved efficiency and scalability.
“Above all else, Spreemo has worked tirelessly to champion the importance of clinical quality in patient care,” stated Westerhoff. “I look forward to paving the way for future growth opportunities and creating an operating environment that not only supports the company’s vision, but also meets and exceeds the increasing demand for an evidence-based understanding of quality care.”
