Today’s issue of WorkCompRecap features the release of a new study from WCRI that examines and compares outcomes for injured workers across 15 different states. Outcomes covered by the study included recovery of physical health and functioning, return to work, earnings recovery, access to medical care, and satisfaction with medical care.
Observational examples included findings that Florida workers reported outcomes that were similar to the median on some key measures, but reported somewhat higher rates of problems accessing desired services and providers, and higher dissatisfaction with overall medical care. Wisconsin workers on the other hand reported somewhat higher rates of substantial RTW, lower rates of problems accessing desired providers and services, and higher rates of satisfaction with medical care.
