Today’s issue of WorkCompRecap features the release of Towers Watson’s Commercial Lines Insurance Pricing Survey (CLIPS) for Q2 2015. The survey compared carriers’ pricing on policies underwritten during the second quarter of 2015 to those underwritten in the same quarter of 2014, and found that prices increased in aggregate at a modest pace (1%) during the second quarter of 2015, continuing a trend of ever smaller increases.
TW also noted that while price changes were comparable to those reported one quarter ago for a few lines, many lines continued to moderate further, including workers’ compensation, which actually showed indications that pricing may have moved into negative territory for the first time since 2010.
