Sarasota, FL – AlaCOMP Workers’ Compensation Self Insurance Fund, headquartered in Montgomery, Alabama, and Tropics Software Technologies, a national software company specializing in workers’ compensation software systems, have placed Tropics Breeze in live production. The project to configure, test, train, and convert the legacy data started 12 months ago and concluded successfully, as planned. Tropics Breeze is a web-based enterprise workers’ compensation policy, billing, and claims software. The system has integrated productivity and decision support tools including email messaging, rules engine/workflow, document generation, document imaging, and business intelligence. The system also provides integrated self-service web portals for agents and policyholders. In addition to the core system, AlaCOMP opted to take advantage of the Tropics integrated self-service portals, imaging, and business intelligence.
With the ever changing environment and the competitive market place, AlaCOMP felt that it needed an efficient and intuitive software to help manage its daily operations. By implementing Tropics Breeze our internal workflow can be streamlined and monitored, ultimately saving time that can be used to focus on other tasks.” Said Stephen Marino, President of AlaCOMP, he added, “The navigation features of Tropics Breeze are very easy to use and provides users with the ability to input and retrieve data with the touch of a button. In addition, with the implementation of the web-portal, the agent as well as the member has access to view their policies at any time. The staff at TST made this implementation seamless and has far exceeded our expectations for service and quality.”
“We are delighted to be instrumental in bringing a significant advancement in technology to AlaCOMP. We are confident that modernization of AlaCOMP’s core systems through Tropics Breeze will have a far-reaching positive impact on the organization as a whole.” said Jeremy Williams, Chief Operating Officer for Tropics Software Technologies, he added, “With a strong partnership between our organizations, AlaCOMP was able to replace their legacy system with a modern, browser-based system in twelve months.”
