Westminster, CO -(BusinessWire)- Reed Group, a provider of absence management services and workforce productivity tools, has launched MDGuidelines®, a redesigned web based reference tool containing the industry’s most comprehensive return to work and treatment guidelines available at www.mdguidelines.com.
New to MDGuidelines® is the integration of Reed Group’s proprietary American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine (ACOEM) practice guidelines, widely considered the “gold standard in effective treatment of occupational injuries and illnesses” (Source: ACOEM). As exclusive owners of ACOEM content, Reed Group is now able to provide comprehensive return to work and treatment content on one state of the art platform.
The redesign evolves the former DisabilityGuidelines® site, into the most effective, user-friendly online experience available in the guidelines market. With an entirely new web based platform and robust content management system, MDGuidelines® can now power a number of major features and functions that will allow customers to optimize treatment planning and case management.
New features in MDGuidelines® include a customizable interface allowing users to arrange content based on their specific needs and workflow, as well as an improved search function, providing more accurate, targeted and relevant results faster.
A new, more comprehensive content management system enhances MDGuidelines® trusted and consistent large scale data integration capacity that allows customers to seamlessly integrate the MDGuidelines® content into their company owned applications or systems. This new content management system also makes more frequent content updates possible, providing real time access to the most current data.
The new site also has easier, more intuitive access to the same powerful tools at the heart of MDGuidelines®: Predictive Model, Crosswalks, and ICD-9 to ICD-10 Mapping.
To further leverage the full scope of MDGuidelines® powerful data resources, Reed Group has launched a new account services organization capable of offering customers individualized training, more detailed and useful usage and benchmark reporting.
“The launch of our new MDGuidelines® web site promises to be the next step in the evolution of the guidelines industry,” states Joseph Guerriero, Reed Group Senior Vice President of MDGuidelines®. “Dr. Presley Reed revolutionized the approach to treating and managing medical disability more than 30 years ago. Since then, Reed Group has been building and innovating our clinical absence model so that we can provide the highest quality, most dependable guidelines ever produced—guidelines that are based entirely on fully transparent medical evidence and scientific fact.”
Consistent with Reed Group’s ongoing commitment to product innovation, there will be a number of additional enhancements to MDGuidelines® available soon. They include a drug formulary built from the ACOEM guidelines which will help to ensure greater accuracy in drug recommendations, a deeper analytics capability, and the integration of cost saving data.
