Greensboro, NC -(BusinessWire)- Key Risk (a W. R. Berkley Company), a provider of workers compensation insurance products and services for employers throughout the eastern United States, recently announced their annual fundraising contribution of over $50,000 for Kids’ Chance chapters in six states. Formed by workers compensation professionals, Kids’ Chance is a national organization that awards scholarships to students (ages 16-25) whose parent’s on-the-job death or catastrophic injury resulted in a substantial decline in family income.
“We truly understand the impact a work-related accident can have on a family and that is why supporting the efforts of Kids’ Chance chapters has become such an essential element of our culture.”
Contributions were given through the W. R. Berkley Corporation Charitable Foundation to Kids’ Chance chapters in Georgia, Maryland, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, South Carolina and Virginia. Funds were raised for the state chapters through the efforts of Key Risk associates on behalf of W. R. Berkley Corporation and Key Risk.
“At Key Risk we have a deep organizational commitment to Kids’ Chance,” said Rob Standen, president of Key Risk. “We truly understand the impact a work-related accident can have on a family and that is why supporting the efforts of Kids’ Chance chapters has become such an essential element of our culture.”
“Year after year our associates continue to sustain and create new ways to raise funds for students pursuing a higher education through the scholarship programs.” added Mr. Standen.
Over the past seven years, Key Risk has donated over $265,000 to local Kids’ Chance chapters across their footprint.
