AMCOMP Presents: “Five Ways to Improve Your Workers’ Comp Medical Management”

August 16, 2015 - WorkCompWire

New York, NY – At AMCOMP’s annual Fordham Conference, Board Member and Spreemo Chief Medical Officer Dr. Raz Winiarsky will moderate a panel of distinguished experts from the nation’s leading insurers and a third party claims administrator. They will examine how payers can improve their medical management programs in the next 12 months.

“Technology and best practices have surged forward in recent years, enabling the development of services that deliver the best quality of care while reducing costs and increasing efficiencies,” said Dr. Winiarsky. “I’m excited to hear insights from this group about practical and achievable ways insurers can advance their medical management programs, getting injured employees healthier and back to work more quickly.”

Panelists include:

  • Jackie Harris, RN, Director, Medical Management Services – FCCI Insurance Group
  • Jim Harvey, SVP, Managed Care Products & Product Development – Sedgwick
  • Don Hurter, Global Head, Medical Management Services – AIG
  • Glen Pitruzzello, VP, Workers Compensation and Group Benefit Claims – The Hartford
  • Moderator: Raz Winiarsky, M.D., Chairman of Orthopedics – Interfaith Medical Center and Chief Medical Officer – Spreemo

“As a medical professional, I am deeply committed to delivering the highest quality, most cost effective patient care. That makes it especially exciting to discuss with other payers what we can do to improve care on an organizational and systemic basis,” added Harris.
