Lincoln, NE – The Nebraska Workers’ Compensation Court has named James Lillis to manage the activities of its Public Information section. James has worked in the section for more than 20 years and has served as the court’s public information officer since 1999.
The Public Information section responds to requests for records and information, supports a toll free information line, maintains the court’s web site, and prepares court publications. The section also manages the court’s business continuity program.
In his role as public information officer, James is available to provide answers to commonly asked questions regarding workers’ compensation in Nebraska or research more complex inquiries for a response. Court staff do not provide opinions or legal advice, however.
James’ professional memberships include the International Association of Industrial Accident Boards and Commissions (IAIABC), ARMA International (an information governance association), and the Conference of Court Public Information Officers (CCPIO).
James holds a bachelor’s degree from the College of Journalism, University of Nebraska – Lincoln.
