Today’s issue of WorkCompRecap features the kick off of our visit to New Orleans for RIMS with the release of a new edition of WCRI’s CompScope Benchmarks report, which examines indemnity costs, medical payments, and the cost of delivering benefits to injured workers in 17 states.
The report aims to provide a baseline of current costs and trends, and to document how payments per claim and their cost components have changed from 2008-2013, which allows stakeholders to track the effects of policy changes and to identify significant trends.
