AMCOMP Presents “The Little Niche That Could”: WC Driving the Train to Better Healthcare

April 13, 2015 - WorkCompWire

New York, NY – At this year’s 17th AMCOMP Annual Meeting, AMCOMP Board Member and Spreemo Chief Medical Officer Dr. Raz Winiarsky will moderate a panel of distinguished medical directors from the nation’s largest workers’ compensation carriers and third party administrators. This is an opportunity to hear insights from the industry’s key decision-makers as they examine the role workers’ compensation can play in reshaping healthcare from fee-for-service to a value-driven and outcome-based system.

“Through its efforts to get patients better more effectively and efficiently, the workers’ compensation field has tremendous potential to inform and inspire change throughout the rest of the healthcare industry,” said Dr. Winiarsky. “We’re thrilled to convene this group of medical directors and hear first-hand their thoughts on the latest developments in delivery models, collaboration and transparency that will improve patient outcomes.”

Panelists include:

  • Teresa Bartlett, M.D., Sr. Vice President Medical Quality, Sedgwick CMS
  • Marcos Iglesias, M.D., Vice President, Medical Director, The Hartford
  • Jacob Lazarovic, M.D., Sr. Vice President, Chief Medical Officer, Broadspire
  • Adam Seidner, M.D., National Medical Director, Travelers Insurance Co.
  • Moderator: Raz Winiarsky, M.D., Chief Medical Officer, Spreemo

“As medical directors, we share a commitment to better understanding quality of care and to improving outcomes for injured workers. I welcome this opportunity to sit down with my counterparts and explore the latest innovations that will help us advance those goals,” added Dr. Seidner.
