Philadelphia, PA – Lockton’s Philadelphia office continues its fast-paced growth with the addition of Michael Appaneal as Vice President to provide risk management solutions to its expanding client base. Lockton is the world’s largest privately held, independent insurance broker.

In his role, Appaneal will focus on advising clients on their employee benefits programs, in addition to offering customized solutions to answer the challenges of property and casualty insurance clients.

Appaneal has more than 20 years of experience in the insurance industry providing benefits and risk management services for clients while leading high-performing sales teams. During the past 17 years he worked for Standard Insurance, most recently serving as Regional Sales Vice President, after beginning his career at Unum Life Insurance Company.
He received his B.A. cum laude in government & legal studies and Spanish from Bowdoin College and his M.S. in human resource management from Boston University.
