Medata Names Tom Herndon President

March 11, 2015 - WorkCompWire

Tustin, CA – Medata, a bill review technology company in workers’ compensation and other property and casualty lines, has named Tom Herndon as president. Herndon joined Medata as vice president of operations in 2009 and was promoted to chief operating officer within his first year.

“Tom is the best operations person I know and he has played a vital role in Medata’s rebirth,” said Medata CEO Cy King. “In my 25 years in this industry, I have never seen such tremendous growth as we have experienced in the past six years at Medata, and Tom has been essential in directing this growth. I know he’ll use his operational experience, leadership skills and industry knowledge as president to continue driving our success to the next level.”

Herndon’s background in insurance, healthcare and technology spans 17 years and several executive positions. He previously held the positions of vice president of product delivery at Mitchell International as director of product development for the healthcare and insurance business unit of Fair Isaac Corporation.

“I’m honored to take on this responsibility as our company is stronger and more committed to providing the best bill review software and service in the industry,” Herndon said. “Under Cy’s leadership, Medata has re-emerged as a leader in this space and we are well-positioned to extend our market share as we set the standard for quality, innovation and customer satisfaction. My vision is to continue to deliver the best product in the industry, exceed our customers’ expectations and build the strongest team in the industry. I look forward to working with our management team, our talented employees and our valued customers.”
