Today’s issue of WorkCompRecap features the California Commission on Health and Safety and Workers’ Compensation’s (CHSWC) release of its twentieth Annual Report, which examines health and safety and workers’ comp systems in the state and makes recommendations to improve their operations.
Recommendations from the 2014 edition of the report included re-examining the workers’ comp system in light of the passage of Senate Bill (SB) 863, especially in the areas of permanent disability compensation, return-to-work, quality, accessibility, timeliness and cost of medical care, and also the timeliness and cost of dispute resolution.
