Denver, CO – Pinnacol Assurance has named Barbara Brannen as the company’s new vice president of human resources. Brannen will oversee the company’s human resources and learning and organizational development areas.
“Barbara has the skills and experience necessary to support our efforts to transform Pinnacol into a learning organization and a customer insight company,” said Phil Kalin, Pinnacol’s president and CEO. “And her leadership philosophy and style fit well in our culture, a crucial qualification for this role.”
Brannen brings 35 years of relevant experience to Pinnacol. Her previous roles have included serving as vice president of human resources at Innovative Services of America, Qwest Communications and Rose Medical Center. She also served as the director of human resources for the University of Denver and Thera-Care in Boston. For the past 12 years, she has provided human resource consulting, training and coaching for many corporations and organizations through her company, Playmore, LLC.
A graduate of Niagara University with a degree in business, Brannen has been honored by the Denver Business Journal with the Outstanding Women in Business Award in Human Resources, and she received the Human Resource Professional of the Year award from the Colorado Human Resource Association.
