Towson, MD – Donald Crawley, CPA, recently joined Chesapeake Employers’ Insurance Company as Director of Internal Audit. Former Financial Analyst and Acting Director of Internal Audit, Mr. Crawley helps ensure the financial security and integrity of Chesapeake Employers by identifying and eliminating unwanted corporate risk and providing professional advice on financial, security and integrity issues to the President and CEO, senior management staff, Audit Committee and Board of Directors.
Mr. Crawley possesses more than 25 years of experience in the auditing and accounting fields. He began his auditing career with the Maryland Office of Legislative Audits and worked as the Revenue Manager at the Motor Vehicle Administration. He also worked as an Examiner, Assistant Chief Analyst, Assistant Chief Examiner and then Chief Examiner at the Maryland Insurance Administration.
Mr. Crawley graduated from Towson University with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in accounting and has been a Certified Public Accountant since 1990. In the past, Mr. Crawley has served in various capacities for professional associations, including President of the Maryland chapter of the Society of Financial Examiners as well as a Board Member and Vice President of the National Society of Financial Examiners.
