Today’s issue of WorkCompRecap features the Oregon DCBS’ recent release of some data from its biennial workers’ comp rates study, which ranks all 50 states and Washington DC, based on rates in effect on January 1st of this year. This recent release is a sample of the results, and the full report is expected later this year.
The study found that California had the most expensive rates, with Connecticut taking second place, while North Dakota came in as having the least expensive rates. Oregon itself ranked as the ninth least expensive, an improvement from 14th in 2012, with DCBS noting that rates are expected to decline further in 2015.
