Today’s issue of WorkCompRecap features the Ohio BWC’s recent proposal of an average rate reduction of 9.1% for Ohio’s 3,800 cities, counties, townships, villages, schools and special districts, which would result in $19.0 million in annual premium savings. Alongside previous reductions in the last four years, this most recent round would bring local government rate reductions to nearly 20% since 2011. If approved by the BWC Board during next month’s meeting, the new rates will be effective Jan. 1, 2015. Find out more by clicking here!
