Today’s issue of WorkCompRecap features the New York Workers’ Compensation Board’s recent release of a discussion document on its proposal for a new Workers’ Comp Medical Fee Schedule. According to the Board, a new fee schedule will help correct disparities, and additionally going forward the board hopes to update its new fee schedule annually. In order to accomplish its goals, the Board began a fee schedule study, including benchmarking against numerous indexes and also looking at policy issues and other factors. The Board has now released its ideas for comment before any changes are actually made.
