Sarasota, FL – Food Services Insurance Managers, Inc. (FSIM), headquartered in Roseville, CA, and Tropics Software Technologies (Tropics), a national software company specializing in workers’ compensation software systems, recently announced that FSIM has selected Tropics Breeze to modernize and expand its workers’ compensation insurance business.
FSIM’s longevity and consistent presence in the California market is based on its concurrent goals of profitable growth and continuous improvement in the services provided to its customers. Tropics software provides the most current platform to help FSIM reach those goals.
Tropics will install the latest generation of its workers’ compensation software, Tropics Breeze, and configure it for issuing and managing policies, billing and A/R, and handling certain claims processes. Additionally, FSIM is planning to take advantage of the full line of Breeze’s integrated features including email messaging, business rules, workflow, document automation, Loss Control, and Business Intelligence. The built-in self-service web portals for agents and policyholders will enhance and expedite communication and information/data exchange between FSIM and its business partners and customers. Tropics, along with FSIM’s IT firm, Infiniti Consulting Group, a California based IT consulting company, will convert the legacy and current data and develop interfaces with the carrier’s systems.
“FSIM believes that with Tropics as its foundational software system, there is significant opportunity to grow into additional sectors of the economy, expand into other states, and with Tropics history of development and innovation, an opportunity to diversify into offering other insurance products,” said Bridget Halvorson, CEO of FSIM. She added that, “We conducted an exhaustive due diligence process in our search for a software system, and Tropics stood out from the rest with their willingness to provide a comprehensive demonstration of their system and respond to our unique needs. We are looking forward to having a well-tested system and an experienced group to support our growth.”
“I am exceptionally excited about being a partner with FSIM. We felt the synergy and the shared values of excellence and quality of service from the first meeting,” said Mike Mobar, president and CEO of Tropics Software Technologies. He further stated that, “This product is the culmination of 20 years of Tropics Software experience in workers’ comp automation and the application of the latest web technologies. As we are pursuing several opportunities in the Western states with Tropics Breeze, I am glad that FSIM recognized the potential of this product for their business. We look forward to making this a successful venture for both companies as we have done over 35 times for other clients since 1995.”
