Irvine, CA -(BusinessWire)- Harbor Health Systems, a One Call Care Management company, recently announced that Harbor One™ MPN, the pioneering MPN (Medical Provider Network) program, is available as an approved Network Entity MPN.
“This week marks the first time our Harbor One MPN program is available to clients as an approved network entity MPN,” said Greg Moore, President of Harbor Health Systems. “Now our clients can save thousands of dollars and several months’ worth of effort by eliminating the need to go through the approval process themselves, making it much easier to take advantage of the newest MPN laws.”
“The network entity version of the MPN is the model for the future, and we believe the Harbor One MPN is one of the first MPNs available to the public with that type of approval. When SB 863 was signed into law, we saw the potential of this concept to achieve significant savings to the workers’ compensation market in California. Now, we are bringing all of its advantages to our customers,” concluded Moore.
Harbor Health Systems’ clients have saved millions by leveraging outcomes based networks with MPNs. But, the cost and time required to complete the approval process has been a barrier to many smaller employers and public entities. The network entity MPN eliminates those costs, making the MPN more affordable and easier to access for everyone in the state.
Harbor Health Systems’ MPN clients report cost savings of up to 20% with Harbor’s outcomes-based networks of high performing physicians and its proprietary scoring technology, as well as additional savings through reduced litigation and increased productivity.
