Oakland, CA – The Commission on Health and Safety and Workers’ Compensation (CHSWC) is pleased to announce that Speaker of the Assembly John A. Pérez has appointed Dan Bagan to the Commission.
Mr. Bagan is the West Region Risk Manager for UPS, the world’s largest package delivery company and a leading global provider of specialized transportation and logistics services. He serves on the board of the California Coalition on Workers’ Compensation and is an active member of the Workers’ Compensation Action Network. He is also a member of United Way’s Alexis de Tocqueville Society. Mr. Bagan represents employers.
CHSWC, created by the workers’ compensation reform legislation of 1993, is charged with examining the health and safety and workers’ compensation systems in California and recommending administrative or legislative modifications to improve their operation.
CHSWC was established to conduct a continuing examination of the workers’ compensation system and of the state’s activities to prevent industrial injuries and occupational diseases and to examine those programs in other states.
