Farmington Hills, MI – Amerisure Mutual Holdings, Inc. recently announced the promotion of Dan Graf to Chief Investment Officer (CIO). In this position, he will report to Doug Kinnan, Senior Vice President, Chief Financial Officer & Treasurer, Amerisure Mutual Holdings, Inc. Graf will continue to be based in Farmington Hills, Mich.
“Investment results under Dan’s leadership have been very strong and significantly contribute to the Company’s ongoing financial success and strength,” said Kinnan. “Through his leadership, Dan has gained the trust and support of Amerisure’s Board of Directors along with Amerisure’s management team to strategically lead the investments area of the organization.”
In addition to Graf’s current responsibilities of overseeing the $2-billion investment portfolio of Amerisure Mutual Holdings, Inc. and its insurance subsidiaries, his strong strategic focus and knowledge of the insurance industry will also prove to be valuable as he begins serving on the Company’s Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Council and other key strategic Committees.
Graf has been with Amerisure for 28 years. He began his career as a management trainee, and during his tenure, he held positions in accounting, credit collections, investments and treasury. In 1999, he was promoted to Vice President of Investments.
Graf received a bachelor’s degree in accounting and history from Hillsdale College, Hillsdale, Mich., and his master’s degree in finance from Walsh College, Troy, Mich. He received the Associate in Accounting and Finance (AIAF) insurance designation and completed the Management of Managers program at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, Mich. Graf is also a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).
