Also in the news today is the Tennessee Department of Labor and Workforce Development’s recent report that both total fatalities and days away from work as a result of injuries and illnesses in the state improved in 2012. According to the department, 2012 saw a 17% decrease in fatal work injuries over 2011 to a record low for the last 10 years. Additionally, injuries and illnesses remained at a rate of 3.5 for the second year, continuing a record low since recordkeeping began in 1972. Find out more by clicking here!
