StrataCare Adds North Carolina Medical Reporting

February 16, 2014 - WorkCompWire

Irvine, CA – StrataCare, LLC, a leading bill review software and services company, recently announced that it was the first vendor to successfully complete North Carolina’s Medical Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) trading partner certification. While the mandatory reporting date of March 1st is still a few weeks away, StrataCare was certified to begin medical bill reporting as of February 10, 2014.

The North Carolina Industrial Commission (NCIC) has implemented mandatory EDI medical bill reporting for workers’ compensation claims effective March 1, 2014. Carriers and self-insured employers are required to report medical bill data using the new Medical Billing v2.0 reporting standards adopted by the IAIABC.

“The addition of North Carolina state reporting demonstrates StrataCare’s commitment to fully support all mandated medical EDI jurisdictional requirements” said Skip Creasey, president and chief operating officer.
