Today’s issue of WorkCompRecap features a whole bunch of anniversary announcements, starting with MedRisk, who are celebrating 20 years. Growing out of an MBA case study and starting in 1994 with just eight employees serving clients in three states, MedRisk has grown to over 400 team members with a national network of professionals.
California’s State Fund is marking its centennial this year with an interactive timeline chronicling noteworthy developments for State Fund between its creation by the California State Legislature in 1914 through the present day, now insuring 120,000 policyholders, administering over $1.2 billion in premiums, and overseeing nearly $20 billion in assets.
Finally, the IAIABC is also celebrating the centennial of its founding in 1914, when leaders from seven jurisdictions met in Lansing, Michigan to discuss best practices in the regulation and administration of workers’ compensation systems. The IAIABC is also holding a kickoff today, complete with livestream this afternoon.
