Nashville, TN – The Division of Workers’ Compensation recently announced that Dr. Robert Snyder became Medical Director on January 6th.
Dr. Snyder recently retired from his active medical practice with Tennessee Orthopaedic Alliance. He is a graduate of Belmont University and Wayne State University of Medicine. During his active career he was president of the Vanderbilt Orthopedic Society and president of the St. Thomas Hospital medical staff.
Dr. Snyder has also participated in Orthopedic Overseas’ medical education project in Peru. For many years Dr. Snyder has been on the division’s Medical Cost Containment Committee and is a past chair of the committee. He lives in Nashville with his wife of 42 years, Paula. They have two children and are awaiting the birth of their first grandchild.
