Atlanta, GA – Stratose, a provider of healthcare cost containment solutions for medical, dental and workers’ compensation claims, has announced the acquisition of PPOplus, LLC, a provider network focused on Louisiana, Mississippi and Arkansas. The PPOplus network includes more than 32,000 providers in the tri-state area.
“We continue to focus on the expansion of our national network offering through localized expertise of payor and provider relationships. Delivering effective ways to manage escalating healthcare costs through quality discounts and local relationships will help us meet the future market demands of healthcare cost containment,” says Tina Ellex, President of Stratose. “PPOplus has established themselves as a premier network in the Louisiana, Mississippi and Arkansas markets. This is a great addition to our portfolio which we recently expanded with the acquisition of Illinois-based HFN.”
“PPOplus is very excited to be a part of the Stratose family of companies. PPOplus now has an expanded opportunity to grow its regional and national presence. Our ability to provide focused regional knowledge and relationships aligns perfectly with the Stratose goal of providing quality discounts through local expertise,” says Nan Wallis, Vice President of PPOplus.
This is the fifth acquisition by Stratose in the past three years. The company executed three acquisitions in 2011, expanding services in the East Coast Markets, establishing a presence in the dental market, and broadening its capabilities in claims negotiations. In October 2013, Stratose acquired Midwest-based HFN as part of an over-arching strategy to expand presence and expertise within workers’ comp and Group Health PPO for the Illinois and surrounding markets.
