Parsippany, NJ – York Risk Services Group (York), a premier national provider of claims management, managed care and risk management services, recently announced the promotion of Rick Taketa to the position of President. He will continue to serve as Chief Operating Officer. In his expanded role, Taketa will have responsibility for all operational, financial and customer-facing activities for the company.

More importantly, he has led our strategy to focus on specific customers segments that has enabled us to become the preeminent provider in those segments and materially make a difference in our customers’ success,” said Anthony Galioto, CEO of York Risk Services Group. “York and our customers have benefitted from Rick’s commitment to innovation, quality and driving down the cost of risk.”
In addition to his prior role as Chief Operating Officer, Taketa was President, Commercial Business for York Risk Services Group and also served as York’s Chief Strategy Officer. His oversight responsibilities included York Programs, York Public Entity, Risk Management Practices, Alternative Risk Solutions, York Pooling businesses, York SLA, and WellComp, as well as oversight over York subsidiaries.

Mr. Taketa joined York from Southern California Risk Management Associates, where he served as the Chief Executive Officer. Previously, he was a co-founder and managing director of a private investment group and a corporate securities lawyer. Mr. Taketa earned his Bachelor of Arts from Colgate University and Juris Doctor from Stanford Law School.
