Today’s issue of WorkCompRecap concludes our time at the California Workers Comp & Risk Conference in beautiful Dana Point, CA. Day 2 started with sessions on predictive modeling and the always interesting Workers’ Comp Blogger Panel, continued with more SB 863 action in the form of a Medical Unit update, and finished off with a Settlement Strategies session! After a few more sessions today we’ll be looking forward to next year!
In the news again today is Texas, where the TDI’s Workers’ Comp Research and Evaluation (REG) has released the 2013 edition of its Report Card, which found that workers’ comp networks continued to show improvements in medical costs, return-to-work outcomes, and health outcomes in the state.
