Kasich recently announced the adoption of new opioid prescribing guidelines for treating patients with chronic, non-terminal pain. Developed by the Governor’s Cabinet Opiate Action Team along with system stakeholders, the new guidelines include a recommendation that at 80 mg MED, prescribers pause to reevaluate their plan, updates to the States Rx reporting system, and a new prescriber focused website.
