San Diego, CA – The International Association of Industrial Accident Boards and Commissions (IAIABC), North America’s oldest workers’ compensation association, is proud to announce its newly-elected 2013-2014 Executive Committee. The Executive Committee provides strategic leadership and financial oversight for the Association and is comprised of ten agency executives and the Chair of the Associate Member Council. The fourteen member board shapes IAIABC initiatives to “advance the efficiency and effectiveness of workers’ compensation systems throughout the world.”
The 2013-2014 IAIABC Executive Committee was voted in unanimously by the IAIABC membership at the IAIABC 99th Annual Convention during the annual business meeting on Thursday, October 3, 2013. Members of the 2013-2014 Executive Committee are:

The election marks the beginning of Jack Nolish’s tenure as IAIABC President. Mr. Nolish serves at the Deputy Director of the Michigan Workers’ Compensation Agency. Mr. Nolish has more than 35 years of professional experience in workers’ compensation, serving as a shareholder in the law firm of Meklir, Nolish, Friedman and Associates, PC. He has also served as Michigan Workers’ Compensation Magistrate, Chief Magistrate and Agency Director. “As the 100th IAIABC President, Jack is enthusiastic about ensuring the Association remains successful in the future. It is especially fitting that Jack will serve as President in the Centennial year as the first IAIABC President was also from Michigan” comments Jennifer Wolf Horejsh, Executive Director of the IAIABC. “Jack is a consensus-builder and will work hard to engage the entire IAIABC community into projects and programs next year.”
In 2013, the IAIABC added three additional Members-at-Large to the Executive Committee. This increase enables the Association to benefit from the leadership and talents of jurisdictional executives. “The newest Executive Committee members have distinguished credentials and their diversity of experience complements returning members” remarks Mary Ahearn, IAIABC Past President and 2013 Nominating Committee Chair.
Executive Committee elections were held as the 99th Annual Convention came to a close. The 99th Annual Convention was a tremendous success with 45 jurisdictions from around the globe convening in San Diego to focus on outcomes. Through committee discussions, presentations, and informal networking conference attendees discussed today’s most pressing public policy, regulatory, and administrative issues.
