Atlanta, GA – Crawford & Company recently announced that procurement executive Sabrina Kelkar has joined the Company in the role of vice president, vendor management.
Kelkar will be responsible for directing multiple corporate support functions, including purchasing and vendor, real estate and fleet management, based in the Company’s Atlanta headquarters.
“In the current economic climate, strategic purchasing decisions are very important to our success as a business,” said Allen W. Nelson, executive vice president, general counsel, corporate secretary and chief administrative officer, Crawford & Company. “Sabrina’s background and experience will be instrumental in improving our vendor relationships.”
Since 2012, Kelkar has served as group vice president, supplier management at SunTrust Banks, Inc. in Atlanta, where she developed and implemented the strategy for a shared services department and was responsible for sourcing, managing and governing commodities. Prior to that, she served as first vice president, strategic sourcing for SunTrust, where she directed procurement strategy for indirect infrastructure spend. Before joining SunTrust, Kelkar served in numerous roles at Beazer Homes in Atlanta, culminating in the position of corporate procurement director. Earlier in her career, Kelkar served as senior process improvement auditor at The Home Depot. Kelkar holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Finance and Marketing from Mercer University.
