San Francisco, CA – The WCIRB recently announced the launch of WCIRB Education on Demand – a series of online modules that cover topics of interest to insurers, agents and brokers, employers, and anyone else interested in learning more about California’s workers’ compensation system. Each module is 10-15 minutes in length and walks the viewer through a series of narrated screens. All modules can be accessed from the Learning Center on the WCIRB’s website.
The initial release of three modules focuses on California’s experience rating system:
- Introduction to Experience Rating
- Loss Valuation and Reporting
- Experience Rating Eligibility
In the coming weeks the WCIRB will roll out additional titles focused on the Standard Classification System, and ownership rules and their impact on experience rating.
WCIRB President Bill Mudge commented that “the expansion of the WCIRB’s educational program into the virtual realm provides a reach to new audiences and leverages the latest technologies to more efficiently meet the ongoing needs of the workers’ comp community.”
These new modules add to the WCIRB’s already extensive library of educational information that is available on www.wcirb.com. To be notified when new modules and new educational information are added to the library, make sure you subscribe to the WCIRB’s “Education Resources” e-mail list.
