Farmington Hills, MI — Amerisure Mutual Insurance Company, a leading provider of property and casualty insurance for more than 100 years, recently announced the following appointments:
- Barb Cristea, Vice President and Corporate Controller
- Brent Otto, Vice President of Actuarial
Cristea was named Vice President and Corporate Controller. In her new position, she is responsible for overseeing the Company’s accounting and financial reporting; tax; treasury; corporate budgeting and forecasting process; and financial analysis. She has been with Amerisure for eight years and recently served as Assistant Vice President of Financial Planning and Analysis. Cristea graduated from Baldwin-Wallace College, Berea, Ohio, and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
Otto was promoted from Assistant Vice President of Actuarial to Vice President of Actuarial and has been with Amerisure for 11 years. In his new role, Otto is responsible for Amerisure’s loss and loss adjustment expense (LAE) reserving, pricing analysis and predictive analytic functions. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science from Eastern Michigan University. Otto holds the Fellowship of the Casualty Actuarial Society (FCAS) designation from the Casualty Actuarial Society (CAS) and is a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries (MAAA).
