Today’s issue of WorkCompRecap features some interesting legislative news, as Missouri Governor Jay Nixon recently announced his veto of a bill that would have required the state government to create a database of every Missourian who has ever filed a workers’ comp claim, and allowed employers to access the information online.

Workers’ comp information is available under current law, but only under limited circumstances and access requires the permission of prospective employees.
