Derrick Amato Joins Occ Health for Saint Francis Care as Administrative Director

Hartford, CT – Derrick Amato has joined Saint Francis Care as Administrative Director, Occupational Health, and President and Chief Executive Officer, Connecticut Occupational Medicine Partners, LLC., and Medworks, LLC.

Mr. Amato will oversee workers’ compensation matters and will additionally provide management of underwriting, loss prevention, sales and product management in this role.

“Derrick is a highly accomplished, results-driven, senior executive and corporate officer with a proven record of success in the insurance and managed care industries,” said Kate Roche, Executive Vice President, Chief Operating Officer, Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center. “His special expertise in reducing corporate losses, ensuring regulatory compliance, and improving operational efficiency will be tremendous assets for Saint Francis.”

Mr. Amato previously served Vice President Workers’ Compensation Sales and Strategy at MultiPlan in Waltham, MA. He also served as National Director – Medical Center of Excellence at the Accident Fund of America; Chief Operations Officer of Clinical Management Services at Coventry Workers Comp Services; President, Care Management Services, Concentra Integrated Services; and Senior Vice President, Field Claim Services, Cambridge Integrated Services Group.

Mr. Amato is an associate member of the Eastern Association of Workers’ Compensation Board of Commissioners; a member of the Workers’ Compensation Committee of the Self-Insurance Institute of America; and a member of the Workers’ Compensation Committee of the Claims & Litigation Alliance.
