CA DWC Medical Unit Accepting Applications for Oct. 19 Qualified Medical Evaluator Examination

San Francisco, CA – Applications are now being accepted for the Qualified Medical Evaluator (QME) examination, which will take place Saturday, Oct. 19. QMEs are independent physicians certified by the Division of Workers’ Compensation (DWC) Medical Unit to conduct medical evaluations of injured workers. Applications for the QME exam may be downloaded from the DWC Website.

The QME application form is included in the exam packet. Applicants may also contact the Medical Unit at 510-286-3700 to request an application via U.S. mail, email or fax. The deadline for filing exam applications is Sept. 12.

The QME exam will be given at the following locations Oct. 19:
