Today’s issue of WorkCompRecap features the release of a new report from Lockton that explores how integrity testing can examine job applicants for those with the potential to raise workers’ compensation claims costs.
The new report includes a comparison of workers’ comp claims costs for employees who underwent integrity testing and those who did not, and found that negative traits uncovered by integrity testing, such as lack of conscientiousness or an entitlement mentality, correlated to higher claim costs. Lockton also noted that 25-30% of candidates completing integrity tests actually self-disclosed undesirable behaviors.
