Oklahoma City, OK – The Oklahoma Workers’ Compensation Court recently released the 2012 edition of its Annual Report. The Annual Report provides information regarding 2012 claims filings by various parameters, including but not limited to, NAICS Sectors, Part of Body Injured, Nature of Injury or Illness, etc. Additional information pertaining to Non-Farm Employment by NAICS Sectors is included, as well as information pertaining to Judicial Activity, Court Orders and Agreed Settlements.
The information in the report on injuries, illnesses and deaths is derived from documents filed in calendar year 2012, by the employer, worker, or the dependents of a deceased worker. Injury characteristics are derived from the First Notice of Accidental Injury and Claim for Compensation filed by the employer or claimant, and are not necessarily based on a medical diagnosis.
The Employer’s First Notice of Injury form is used when the matter before the Court is a compromise settlement or involves a provider’s Request for Payment of Charges for Health or Rehabilitation Services (2/19 claim), and there is no Employee’s First Notice of Accidental Injury and Claim for Compensation form filed by the worker, or the dependents of a deceased worker.
