Today’s issue of WorkCompRecap features some interesting follow-up news to Ohio Governor Kasich and the BWC’s recently proposed $1 Billion rebate, which notes that the program would return $112.8 million to nearly 3,800 local governments and schools in the state.
Out of the $112.8 million being returned, schools would receive the largest portion of the rebate, around $42.5 million, followed by cities receiving $37 million, counties receiving $16.5 million and townships receiving $7.6 million. The amount each public employer would receive would equal nearly 56 percent of their annual workers’ compensation insurance premium.
